*sniffs* Oh, internets I missed you! I have limited access for part of a week and I'm downloading shit like crazy. I'll try to keep the spamming of the journal down to a reasonable level though.

I hate multi-chaptered fics. I'm a one-shot wonder and fierce drabbler, the multi's just kill me. Especially since I've made a promise to myself not to ever post anything until it's complete. Heh, I'm an utter slacker.
Unfortunately I have to post this here just so I can store it. I'm slowly working my way around the complete lack of internet here in the Land of Big Booms. And by 'internet' I mean a somewhat fast connection, not monitored by TPTB, doesn't have a keyboard that's sticky, and is in a corner where PEOPLE won't feel compelled to stand over your shoulder and just watch what you're doing. Or sit next to you and try to hit on you.
Needless to say 'internet' has been very hard for me to find here. I'm adapting though. So eventually I might feel brave enough to go out and seek the porn I've been missing so dearly lately. Maybe.
Anyway. First chapter of a fic that may or may not ever be eventually finished. Please ignore it now.

I don't think i'm going to get a good internet access at all while I'm here. Just another hope blown away. Bah, I knew it probably wouldn't happen but I was still hoping.
Good news is that we're starting to get busy with missions, so the time should pass really fast. I'm already looking forward to getting home though.
And now I vow to start writing all my shit out before hand on my own computer before going to the computer lab. There isn't nearly enough time to write anything here.

Gorged myself on crab legs and calamari today. Still feeling full and don't think I'll eat for a few decades at least. This pizza I'm eating right now? Doesn't exist. Also had a fun time helping my mom carry her newest edition to her statue collection into the hotel room. The statue isn't that heavy, but the box it came in was almost bigger than the both of us combined.
I'm cleaning out my folder of stuff I did when bored and had no internet access. Which includes this meme I stole from someone, can't remember who. Find and paste one paragraph from every WIP you are working on into your journal. I like this meme, it made me look at some of my stuff and actually finish a few.

Look at this, I've actually got some time to do more online than just post in a hurry! I've got a few precious days to breathe and kinda relax before they begin to bust our asses again with training. The training schedule is packed until the day we leave for pass, and none of it is stuff that can be missed. Well, not unless you want to give up your pass to make it up.
Why I use this time to go straight to new sites is beyond me. I should know better than that by now. Rising suicide numbers in soldiers show troops are at the breaking point. .....and the no shit award just found its recipient. Screw the news. I got better stuff to look up.
I'm trying to find out things about Savannah, GA. Restaurants that're good, places that might be interesting to see. Touristy type stuff for when I get my four day pass. Everything I pull up online though makes it sound boring. Anyone know the area enough to suggest something to do? As nice as four days of not doing anything sounds, I'd like to do something before going in country.
Ok, I'm off to see what else I can catch up on now.

Haven't posted much, or even done much online this break. I've been too busy visiting and finishing up the endless packing! You'd think that I'd have it all done by now considering I've done nothing but pack for the past couple of months. What is it with me and accumulating massive piles of junk?
I'm leaving again tomorrow, this time it's for good though. I doubt I'll have internet for the next two months, and if I do I wouldn't have the time to be on it much. I might afterwards, but who the hell can tell? I just expect to not have anything at all and am then pleasantly surprised by anything we do get.
Well, got to finish packing now. And laying out everything for tomorrow. And throwing away all my perishables. After I go out to buy myself some more space bags. Those things are a packer's best friend. Bah, enough listing.

So, yes. My mother is the greatest! Why? Because she got me a 160GB external hard-drive. Yes, I am ridiculously happy about that. Why? Because that means I don't have to spend the rest of eternity trying to burn all the files I want to take with me onto cds. The fact that I spent half of eternity already doing that just makes me appreciate this all the more. SO. Yes! That is why she is awesome.

Man, I almost got seriously screwed out of my time. People keep changing regulations and orders! Come on! You've got eighteen months to have us do all this crap, just let us be for another two weeks! Please? I'm begging you.
Transferred and backated a bunch of drabbles from LJ. I think I might have about half my stuff here now. Now I need to figure out if I can post here using email like I could over at LJ.
